| Summary: | The research was of a documentary type, with 25 scientific articles considered. The primary objective was to assess the impact of aerobic physical activity on patients' overall health, physical and functional capacity, and psychological well-being. The review incorporated findings from diverse authors, supported by scientific evidence, and emphasized the integration of exercise as a component of physiotherapeutic intervention. Articles were selected based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria to ensure relevance and quality. The literature was sourced from reputable databases, including PubMed, ScienceDirect, Scopus, and PEDro. The central variables examined were aerobic exercise and breast cancer. The final selection comprised 25 articles published in English and Spanish between 2019 and 2024. Breast cancer remains the most prevalent malignancy among women and is a leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide, affecting approximately 20% to 30% of the female population. A hallmark of malignant tumors is their capacity to infiltrate adjacent tissues and metastasize to distant organs. The evidence reviewed indicates that aerobic exercise is both safe and feasible for breast cancer patients during and following pharmacological treatment. Reported benefits include enhanced physical function, improved cardiovascular performance, expedited return to daily activities, and significant reductions in pain. Furthermore, exercise contributes positively to emotional health, underscoring its value as a complementary therapeutic strategy. |
