| Sumari: | In the present study, the problem of dysgraphia in first-grade elementary school children was analyzed, focusing on the importance of fine motor development as a preventive strategy. The overall objective was to determine digit-manual exercises for the prevention of dysgraphia in first-grade elementary school children. The research was conducted using a mixed-methods approach, with a non-experimental, descriptive-propositive, field-based, cross-sectional design. The sample was purposive and consisted of 26 students and 3 teachers. Two instruments were used for data collection: an observation form administered to the students to identify fine motor difficulties associated with dysgraphia, and a survey administered to the teachers to learn about their intervention strategies. The results indicate that teachers, while showing a willingness and identifying signs of dysgraphia, make limited use of specific and systematic methodologies to address it. Likewise, it was found that children have difficulties with tasks requiring eye–hand coordination, grip strength, and finger dexterity. In this regard, a guide of finger-hand exercises was developed, featuring playful and functional activities aimed at improving infants’ fine motor skills. It is concluded that it is essential to implement intentional programs from an early age, strengthen teacher training, and promote collaborative work with families to effectively prevent dysgraphia in the classroom. |
