| Sumari: | This research work under the theme: "Physiotherapy Treatment Plan Syndrome In Elderly Falls Gerontology Center Of Canton Guano In The Period November 2012-April 2013", was conducted in the province of Chimborazo Guano Canton at the Center Gerontology, the same that was aimed at assessing older adults has been shown through various studies that regardless of the cause of the syndrome of falls, the elderly patient is benefited with the intervention of physiotherapy. The physiotherapy or rehabilitation through exercise improves muscle strength of the lower limbs, postural control, coordination and balance, factors that are impaired in some older adults making them vulnerable to falls, so that improving these triggers together with certain components predisposing medical type falls, can reduce the number of falls and the consequences that these occur in the elderly. The degree of dependence on the functionality or elderly person (PAM), is measured by various scales which assess the ability of the elderly with mobility independence in basic activities of daily living and activities instrumental type. The purpose of these assessments is to determine the functional impairment of the older person, as this aspect is a prognostic indicator of disability and dependence. |
