The present research entitled "The production and commercialization of potatoes and maize and their impact on the socioeconomic development of the parish barley, period 2015". It was carried out with the objective of evaluating the production and commercialization and its incidence in the socioeconomic development of the Cebadas parish, the descriptive research was applied that helped to know in detail the research process, the problems that remain in this sector, was taken To the population where the respective sample could be applied, the research instrument that was the survey through which it was possible to receive and process the results, which allowed to analyze each one of the questions and arrive at the conclusions, where It was possible to establish that the cultivation of potatoes and maize has allowed the producers of the Cebadas parish to achieve a better standard of living, providing well-being and comfort for their families through good food, clothing, health and housing. Despite many factors such as lack of government support and climatic factors, potato and maize cultivation has improved the sit Socio-economic development of the producers and therefore the Parish, also leaving the following recommendation that is to encourage the producers of potato and maize to form an association of producers of potatoes and maize, as an alternative, to improve the process Production and marketing, and generate higher profits, better living standards.
