Afegir etiqueta | Sumari: | The aim of the research work entitled Caregiver Syndrome in the quality of life of primary caregivers of children with disabilities was to analyze the caregiver syndrome in the quality of life of the primary caregivers of children with disabilities of the "Carlos Garbay' Specialized Educational Unit, located in Riobamba. It was descriptive, documentary, field, transversal, using a quantitative and non-experimental approach. The population was 40 caregivers and the sample 21 caregivers, 15 women and 6 men defined by inclusion and exclusion criteria. The instruments applied were the Zarit Overload Scale and the Life Quality GENCAT Scale. Among the results obtained, it can be mentioned that 28% of men and 72% of women have overload in several degrees. The life quality profile of caregivers indicates that the domains that are in optimal state correspond to Interpersonal Relations, Self-determination and Personal Development while others are affected, These factors suggest coordinating with govemment entities the planning and implementation of specialized psychological assistance programs for caregivers. |
