Shrnutí:In this investigation it has been possible to know and contextualize the gross motor development of first year parallel B students of the Unidad Fiscomisional Fe y Alegría of the city of Riobamba, which because of the Covid-19 pandemic situation that is being experienced worldwide have had to receive classes through virtual platforms because the educational system of the country implements this form of education to protect the health of the students. This theoretical framework has written information that explains the importance of children's gross motor skills, which they will use in their daily tasks at home, at school and later in their work, also taking into account that it is the basis for the development of fine motor skills in students and that it should be worked in a playful way so that it is stimulating for the children and they have fun. In order to reach the results, conclusions and recommendations of this document, we have used the techniques of interview and observation through questionnaires applied to both the tutoring teachers and the parents of the first B class of the Educational Unit under study. The whole study has allowed us to understand that the development of motor skills such as balance, coordination, body awareness, physical abilities and reaction time is fundamental for childhood, this is why in this degree project playful strategies that can be worked at home to deepen the gross motor development of the students are indicated.
