Opis
Sažetak:The objective of this research is to analyze the macroeconomic determinants in the development of the Ecuadorian stock market from 2000 to 2018. To accomplish this, the study was broken down into a total of four chapters. It begins with the study of the main theories that support the research. It addresses issues such as the stock market and macroeconomic indicators. Subsequently, the methodological elements on which the study was based were established. This research is characterized by being a nonexperimental, longitudinal and descriptive one, with a quantitative approach. The technique used in the collection of information was a documentary review. In the third chapter, the behavioral variables such as stock market capitalization, the GDP, the volume of negotiation of the stock market, the internal credit provided by the financial sector, the savings and national investment, as well as the inflation rate and the asset interest rate were analyzed through documentary data during 2000 to 2018. Finally, an econometric estimation was established by employing Calderon-Rossell. It concluded that the significance of the coefficients is statistically less than 5%. That is to say, the liquidity of the stock market, savings, investment, inflation and interest rates are macroeconomic factors that significantly determined the behavior of market capitalization in Ecuador between 2000 and 2018.
