Objective: To describe the prevalence of peripheral neuropathy in adults with mellitus diabetes type 2 who were attended in Hospital Provincial General Docente of Riobamba, during the period January 2019 - June 2019. Material and Methods: Study of descriptive, prospective type and cross-sectional study, having as sample 168 adults with mellitus diabetes type 2 who were attended in the Hospital Provincial General Docente of Riobamba, where the variables such as: age, sex, time of base illness, metabolic values and neuropathy´s presence were analyzed. Results: The prevalence of the peripheral diabetic neuropathy was 53%, which represents 89 people in the study.
