“Incidencia de focos infecciosos en la cavidad oral en pacientes con insuficiencia renal crónica que se encuentran en tratamiento de hemodiálisis en el centro contigo da-vida s.a. de la ciudad de Quito”

The research titled. “The Incidence of insufficiency in Ecuador becoming a pandemic, catastrophic illness that affects the life of the people and our environment, this kind of illness is progressive and silent, there are numerous centers of attention for dialysis and kidney transplantation, one of is the hospital called CONTIGO DA-VIDA S.A., located in the city of Quito with a population about 220 patients from different sectors of country, who are undergoing hemodialysis treatment, where the present research project is carried out. The general objective is to demonstrate the incidence of infectious foci in the oral cavity in patients with chronic renal failure receiving hemodialysis treatment at the CONTIGO DA-VIDA hospital, in the period march to may 2017. The types of research correspond to a descriptive and explanatory study with a sample of 153 and a ranging from 20 to 40 years old, with 15.7% from 41 to 65 years old, with 47.1% of the population being economically productive, when presenting this disease, decreased their activities in the economy in their families and 37.3% older than 65 years, among the factors, diabetic nephropathy has 54.65%, hypertensive nephropathy 23%. In the stomatology examination, the incidence of edentulismo is 73%, using the CPO-D index, the caries criterion is 2.63% low with 11%, which is not surprising since there is a high percentage of edentulism in the study sample. Periodontal disease presents with 7.18% in dental plaque-associated gingivitis, 15.68% in generalized severe chronic periodontitis, 20.91% in generalized chronic moderate periodontitis, and minor percentages in other periodontal pathologies.
