Summary: | Proprioception is a crucial neuromuscular process in many sports, as it facilitates improvements in postural stability, coordination, balance, and reactions to sudden changes in directionThis drastically minimizes the chance of injury while improving athletic performance. The objective of this study is to determine the impact of proprioceptive training on balance in the U15 categories of C.D. Olmedo and Leones. The research has a quantitative approach, with a quasi-experimental design, and is bibliographic, field-based, and cross-sectional in nature. The population consists of athletes in the U15 category from C.D. Olmedo and Leones. A non-probabilistic convenience sample was used, involving 15 football and basketball athletes. The technique implemented was testing, using the SEBT test as the instrument. A proprioceptive training program was developed and applied over a 12-week period. After the intervention, pre- and post-intervention results were compared to evaluate its effectiveness. Data analysis was carried out using SPSS software, which allowed for various statistical tests. The Shapiro-Wilk normality test yielded a significance level of <0.05, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis. To measure the level of correlation between the pre- and post-tests, the non-parametric Wilcoxon test was used, which also showed a significance of <0.05, confirming differences between the means and medians of the pre- and post-tests. This indicates that the intervention program was effective. This project is feasible, as it has the necessary human and material resources for its implementation. It benefits players as well as sports clubs seeking to optimize the performance and safety of their athletes |
