Actualización de los enfoques terapéuticos y patogénesis de la Púrpura de Schönlein-Henoch.

The main objective of this research entitled "Actualización de los enfoques terapéuticos y patogénesis de la púrpura de Schönlein-Henoch" at the National University of Chimborazo. Its main objective is to provide a detailed update on the clinical manifestations, risk factors, current therapeutics and complications associated with Henoch-Schönlein purpura. The methodology used in this study focuses on collecting, analyzing and synthesizing the existing research and academic literature on HSP. With the help of this technique, the authors were able to identify and critically evaluate the existing evidence, highlighting knowledge gaps and areas of research that need further attention. The selected non-experimental research design conforms to the specific characteristics of a literature review, emphasizing a rigorous process in the selection of relevant studies and the assessment of their methodological quality. The findings highlight the relevance of an early and accurate diagnosis, emphasizing the variety in the clinical manifestation of the disease between children and adults and highlighting the importance of an adequate therapeutic intervention to improve the prognosis and quality of life of patients. A detailed analysis describes advances in the treatment of HSP, such as the use of corticosteroids, immunosuppressants, and biologic agents, as well as the need for an individualized approach to treatment. This study finds that, although progress has been made in the understanding of HSP, there are still significant problems in treating the disease. The need for future research investigating the underlying pathogenic mechanisms and discovering new forms of treatment is crucial. The study's recommendations point to how to optimize outcomes in patients with HSP through early detection, appropriate treatment, and consideration of differences in clinical presentation between children and adults. This study adds much to the current knowledge of Henoch-Schönlein purpura, providing a comprehensive understanding of the disease and its complexities, and highlighting the need for continued research to improve the clinical management of the disease.
