Descripció
Sumari:The objective of this research was to determine the influence of the social networks most frecuently used in the development of homphobic attitudes of the students of the first and seventh semestre of the career of Psychopedagogy of the Faculty of Human Education Sciences and Technologies of the National University of Chimborazo in order to estimate their prevalence within the educational context in which they develop and to contrast the homophobic attitudes of male and female university students. The sample consisted of 69 students distributed by semesters, the research proposed to be carried out has a quantitative approach, because it is a research where the data were obtained through data collection techniques and instruments. In addition, they were analyzed and interpreted through statistical procedures, where it was presented in tables or graphical representation statistics, the type of research by level or scope is descriptive. The instrument for data collection was the Scale of attitudes towards people with homosexual orientation (Castro et. al, 2020). It is concluded that students use social networks to communicate among peers not more to create homophobic attitudes towards people of different sexual preference. After performing the application of the scale there are subtle attitudes of homophobia in the university students which are justified by their religious beliefs or by the social context by the studypopulation, however, it is reported that there is a percentage of students who show an indifferent attitude to homophobia who do not approve or reject it, as well as there are students who indicate acceptance towards sexual diversity.
