Résumé:The goal of this work was to determine the influence of early stimulation for the development of emotional intelligence in the basic level 1 of the Educational Unit "Pedro Vicente Maldonado" city of Riobamba, province of Chimborazo. The methodology used was bibliographic, field, cross-sectional, non-experimental, and descriptive. The sample of studies was made up of 20 children between the ages of 3 and 4 years. The techniques used for collecting data were observation and checklist: Evaluation scale on early stimulation, Perception scale on Emotional Intelligence. Among the main results, it was evidenced that 100% of the population, which corresponds to 20 students evaluated, are at a level achieved in early stimulation, in terms of emotional intelligence, 100% of the children are at a high level, which indicates that early stimulation is directly and positively related to emotional intelligence in children. According to the results obtained, a proposal for early stimulation activities was developed that allowed the advancement of emotional intelligence in children, this contributes to improving their social relationships and also improves their academic performance.
