Self-control is an ability to proper development in life. It permits the individual to keep dominion and control; the lack of self-control is a widespread problem that does not make a distinction among age, ethnicity, or religion. It involves a decision that came from an internal and conscious deliberation in order to integrate action and accomplish the outcomes that are expected. It has some essential components integrated into life as habits. There are: emotional control, nervousness, personal patience and self-love, emotional control is probably one of the hardest aspects of self-control because of a different kind of emotions which humans are exposed. The lack of personal judgment is thought to be as one of the factors that have a relationship with control deterioration on teenagers with disputes produced by uncontrolled actions, because of this deficiency of adequate levels of self-knowledge and self-esteem adolescents feel the need to be accepted and become manipulable. In the methodological aspect, a non-experimental design was used. Besides, a field, bibliographic, and transversal research in a descriptive level was applied. The kind of sample was non- probabilistic and intentional, with a total number of 26 students age range between 19 to 26 years old. In order to collect the information, there were used the psychometric test as a technique and a questionary of child self-control and teenager CACIA as an instrument. It concluded that students demonstrate high levels of self-control that is relevant to the integral and professional development.
