| Summary: | ABSTRAC The purpose of this work is to identify the explanatory variables of the labor insertion of young graduates of the National University of Chimborazo for the period 2018-2022; for which follow-up surveys were used for graduates of the National University of Chimborazo at three moments: moment 1 for the first year of graduation, moment 2 for 3 years and moment 3 for 5 years after completing their studies. In this sense, the analysis was divided into three parts, the first corresponding to the characterization of the general variables, the second involving the analysis of the dependent variable, which is job placement in young graduates of the UNACH and, finally, the third where the results of the econometric estimation based on choice models for ordered categorical variables are presented. From there, the validation of the goodness of fit of the logit and probit models begins, where the probit model was selected. Furthermore, the result of the study indicates that the determinants of the labor insertion of young graduates are associated with the careers of Social Communication, Social Sciences, Law, Basic Education, Early Childhood Education, Tourism Management, Agroindustrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering , Medicine, Dentistry and Physical Therapy, as well as the age variable. Keywords: Youth employment, university graduates, job placement, ordinal models |
