| Zusammenfassung: | Currently, the construction sector is one of the main drivers of the country's economy and one of the main generators of waste. Worldwide, water is an abundant but exhaustible resource; this is one of the main reasons to consider the conscious management of this resource. Such is the case that since ancient times, this medium has been reused for domestic and agricultural purposes. Riobamba is a city where its water comes mainly from twenty underground sources, with a supply of 138 l/hab/day, less than that suggested by the INEN regulations for a population greater than 50,000 inhabitants in a cold climate whose collection. It must be greater than 200 l/hab/day. This research considered why water reuse systems are not carried out in buildings to solve the problem of water deficit in the city through a survey of two groups with their respective sample. The first was clients, with 385 people, and the second was the city's builders, with 92. The results obtained in the first group analyzed reflected a social barrier since it mainly considers the influence of public knowledge, and the second group determined a financial wall, this being the lack of incentives from the government. |
