Тойм:The ignorance of the reference values in the province of Chimborazo, Riobamba town represents a problem in public health. The objective of this research is to determine the enzymatic activity of gamma-glutamyl transferase and lactate dehydrogenase, for the set of reference values in students aged between 14 and 18 years of rural education units of the town. A descriptive, cross-sectional, non-experimental, field and qualitative approach study was carried out, so a study between the calculation of the body mass index relating to eating habits was made, in order to compare with the results of the laboratory tests analyzed by the automated equipment Dimensions of the RXL MAX system, after the data processing was analyzed by the statistical package Microsoft Excel, whose sample consisted of 163 students, where the female population represents 53% of comparison with masculinity . As a result, 98% of Gama-GT of its enzymatic activity is normal while 2% of men and women exhibit values above the upper limit, as well as Lactate Dehydrogenase was 89% of normal values but 11% of women and men are above normal values. Obtaining as conclusion that most of the participants of our study have paramedical habits, in turn practicing any type of physical exercise so that occasionally the results are within the reference intervals.
