Potencial Turístico y Planificación en la Parroquia la Candelaria, Cantón Penipe, Provincia de Chimborazo

The objective is to analyze the tourist potential and its influence in the planning of the parish La Candelaria, Cantón Penipe, Province of Chimborazo. The research is correlational and explanatory, the design is non-experimental and consists of three phases: Phase 1. Diagnosis of the tourism potential in the parish according to the residents, whose sample was 222 surveys, older than 18 years; Phase 2. Analysis of the tourist planning, the sample was of 5 interviews applied to representatives of the parochial GAD; Phase 3. Diagnosis of the tourist potential in La Candelaria, with a sample of 80 surveys applied to tourists. In the interviews it was evidenced that there is the necessary economic resource to enhance tourism development. However, the surveys show as a result the inadequacy of planning, infrastructure deficiency and training of the inhabitants, so that of the total number of people surveyed, 30.38% consider only the Nevado el Altar as the main attraction; this allowed us to evaluate and corroborate the natural and cultural wealth that is being lost due to the disinterest of the inhabitants who do not identify tourism as a source of untapped economy. By means of the verification of hypothesis it was demonstrated that the tourist products and the valorization of resource if they influence in the bakery of the parish. Finally, a proposal was proposed to solve the needs of the parish.
