總結:The purpose of this work was to determine the relationship between cognitive flexibility and working memory of sixth-year basic education students at “Leonidas García Ortiz” School. The research variables were analyzed and supported; Cognitive flexibility is the ability to modify or adjust to mental schemes such as mental behavior in front of an established task, in rapid way, with a given response at the same time thus working memory is a temporary storage mechanism to retain information, compare, contrast, and relate them to each other; with the respective conceptual theoretical foundation, with its different perspectives. The research had a quantitative approach, the design was non-experimental, the type o was descriptive and correlational for the transversal and basic time, the place was in the field, the population was the students with their respective sample non-probabilistic and intentional with their adequate psychometric instruments. We used the "Stroop of Colors and Words" to measure cognitive flexibility test and for working memory the "WISC-V" test. Characteristics of cognitive flexibility were shown with a correlation of the variables, through its analysis, with working memory effectively intervenes to establish more cognitive flexibility, more work memory and more work memory more cognitive flexibility, according to the results obtained from the SPSS program.
