The textile industry of indigenous clothing in the Salasaka town is not only a source of employment and income for artisans but is also a symbol of the identity and tradition of the community that maintains a symbolic wealth that reflects the worldview and ancestral knowledge in its clothing. and textiles. The objective of this work is to determine the incidence of the indigenous clothing textile industry in the development of the Salasaka town. The methodology used has a cross-sectional, non-experimental, descriptive and field design under a mixed approach; The survey technique is used through a questionnaire of 15 closed multiple choice questions to collect information from a population of 146 artisans. The conclusions reached indicate that the evolution of the textile industry is given by the gradual change from the traditional to the European loom with which they produce a greater diversity of fabrics, despite their resistance to change to maintain their customs and traditions, they have incorporated the natural fibers, synthetic fibers to modernize clothing and try to increase the demand that is currently local due to the lack of promotion to open promotional channels to directly reach buyers from other places; For this reason, a local development plan is proposed, based on the 4 Ps of Marketing that involves the population and public and private institutions to together achieve sustained growth that benefits the entire community.
