要約:The present research focused on analyzing the relationship between didactic cognitive strategies and numerical reasoning in elementary general education students, revealing their importance in comprehending and applying mathematical concepts. Teachers' perceptions about the effectiveness of these strategies in developing numerical reasoning were established to gain insight into their perspective on the subject. Additionally, the level of development in numerical reasoning was assessed using the DAT-5 test among basic general education students to determine their level of proficiency. The beneficiaries of the research were the students in the seventh year of general basic education at the Mons. Maximiliano Spiller Educational Unit. The study employed a mixed approach, combining quantitative and qualitative data, using the DAT-5 test to assess students' numerical reasoning. Finally, the conclusions underline that cognitive didactic strategies not only improve academic performance but also prepare students to face a complex future. The results indicate that adequate implementation of these strategies enhances the understanding and application of mathematics. In conclusion, there is a need to continue exploring and applying didactic approaches to achieve students' meaningful learning.
