Opis
Izvleček:The construction industry is considered as the main source of economic and social development of the country, which allows for better planning and control of projects. In other words, to improve the quality of construction processes on site and control the delivery time of each project. One of the threats identified in the construction industry is the increase in costs and non-compliance with deadlines, where work has been considered as one of the main causes. The purpose of this research is to determine the root causes of re work in the construction of bridges since little has been investigated in this type of infrastructure. To achieve this goal, 5 bridges were selected, 4 reinforced concrete and 1 metallic. Data were collected from the field work daily using an instrument of data collection and in this way to appreciate the level of impact generated by the work. The results of this research confirm that design errors and omissions are the root causes of greater impact and frequency in bridge construction, followed by supply of materials and equipment, skilled labor, topography waiting, non-compliance with specifications, low control of documents and inadequate supervision.
