| Summary: | Cyberbullying in adolescents represents a growing problem that negatively impacts their psychosocial development, affecting psychosocial skills such as assertiveness, empathy, and emotional regulation—the present research aimed to analyze the influence of cyberbullying on the development of psychosocial skills in adolescents. The methodology was based on literature-type research, descriptive level, and cross-sectional design. An initial population of articles collected from databases such as Web of Science, Scopus, Scielo, PubMed, SpringerLink, and Google Scholar were counted, applying rigorous selection criteria. The final sample consisted of 20 articles submitted to a quality assessment through Critical Review Form-Quantitative Studies (CRF-QS). As a result, it was found that cyberbullying is closely related to the lack of psychosocial skills in adolescents since those with low assertiveness and empathy are more likely to become cyberbullies or victims. In addition, factors such as family violence and the absence of support networks increase the risk of cyber-aggression. It is concluded that cyberbullying significantly affects the psychosocial development of adolescents, which highlights the importance of preventive and therapeutic interventions focused on emotional education and strengthening psychosocial skills. |
