| Tóm tắt: | Introduction: Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is the surgical procedure of choice for cholelithiasis, it has a low complication rate and rapid recovery. Objective: the research has the general purpose of determining the prevalence of laparoscopic cholecystectomies in patients who attended the Hospital of the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security Riobamba, 2019. Methodology: It is a descriptive, retrospective, cross-sectional study and a series of cases, using inclusion and exclusion techniques a sample of 208 patients was obtained. Results: a higher prevalence was found in people> 65 years of age in 19.7%, with a predominance of women of 63.5%. The surgical findings found were: thin-walled gallbladder in 63.0%, adhesions in 40.4%, plastron in 14.4% and Calot triangle type II in 24.0%. The most common causes of conversion were difficult hemostasis control and structures of difficult dissection with a risk of incidental injuries in 1.4% each. Trans-surgical complications were bleeding from the gallbladder bed and anatomical variants of the bile duct, post-surgical complications were infection of the surgical site, intra-abdominal collection and biliary fistula. In preoperative complications, a predominance of the male sex is evident, and in post-operative complications, the female predominated. Conclusion: Laparoscopic cholecystectomy was the treatment of choice in patients older than 65 years with a percentage of 19.7%, with respect to sex, a predominance of women is evident in 63.5%, in addition to a low rate of trans and post-surgical complications. . |
