Patrimonio Cultural Material y Demanda Turística, Cantón Latacunga, Provincia de Cotopaxi.

ABSTRACT: Latacunga, is a canton full of history, tradition and culture that enchants locals and strangers alike. Its rich heritage has spread throughout it´s urban and rural parishes with great potential for the development of cultural and heritage tourism in each of them you can visit (churches, farm houses, heritage buildings), archaeological remains (archaeological collections, The present research work has the objective of analyzing the material cultural heritage and its influence on the tourist demand of Latacunga, Cotopaxi Province. It is worth mentioning that the GAD Municipal Latacunga has projects that have allowed to partially preserve the material cultural heritage of the canton, however there is no adequate planning for its conservation. With the information obtained, we were able to apply our research instruments under the Likert scale, which was previously validated by our group of experts, whose results allowed us to know the perception of the tangible cultural heritage in the canton Latacunga. Finally, with the data obtained, we proposed a digital cultural tourism guide, focusing on local and national tourists, which will serve to help the Head of Tourism of Latacunga Canton to promote, disseminate and raise awareness among tourists who visit these heritage assets.
