Riassunto:Work stress in public and private universities is a significant problem due to the working conditions and the demands of the position that complicate the outlook under normal working conditions. We began by dissociating the content of the questionnaire that was applied to the professors of the Industrial Engineering Career of the National University of Chimborazo. Then, a sample of 97 teachers was assessed for work stress using the questionnaire adopted by Dr. Cristina Villalobos. To complete the study, an intervention manual was developed for the factors determined as critical. The results obtained are 23 teachers with low stress, 71 with medium and 6 with high stress. It is concluded that stress levels are medium-high, being worrying symptoms for the health of teachers, so it is necessary to mitigate it through support strategies, improvement of working conditions and a collaborative university environment, positive psychology, among other actions that can generate a safe and healthy environment for teachers.
