Descripción
Summary:This research project was carried out in order to analyze the microhardness of nanohybrid resins when subjected to carbonated beverages. It was an observational and comparative investigation. The sample consisted of 36 resin discs, divided into subgroups as follows: G1: 6 Amaris resin cylinders (voco); G2: 6 cylinders of filtek Z350 resin (3M); G3: 6 vit-l-escence resin cylinders (ultradent); G4: 6 cylinders of amaris resin (voco) dipped in soft drink; G5: 6 cylinders of filtek Z350 resin (3M) dipped in carbonated drink; G6: 6 vit-l-escence (ultradent) resin cylinders immersed in carbonated drinks. The observational and comparative method was used, taking into account that the information obtained is relevant to the research and the results obtained were exposed in detail. When comparing the averages of the initial and final microhardness, it is concluded that the nanohybrid resins to be subjected to carbonated beverages show a statistically significant decrease, that is, carbonated beverages considerably affect the surface microhardness of the types of resins presented in this study.
