That took the initiative to carry out this research, with the general aim: to determine the incidence of children's fears and the academic performance in the children of the level of initial 2 parallel, "c" of the Center for education initial Lic. "Alfonso Chávez," Parish Lizarzaburu, canton Riobamba, Chimborazo province. Academic year 2014-2015; through the implementation of a field work, by applying the survey to the teacher, and the observation form to children. As a solution to the problem in question was designed a tutorial in order to overcome the fears of the children of the above-mentioned educational institution and contribute to the improvement of academic achievement called "Overcoming my fears I am happy". The results allowed to meet the research objectives, reaching the hypothesis testing positively since the teachers agreed that fears significantly affect the academic performance of children. Finally the conclusions and recommendations were presentedEste proyecto está relacionado con los miedos infantiles y el rendimiento académico de los niños, ya que ofrece a los docentes y padres de familia, herramientas útiles que beneficiarán a futuro a los pequeños del Centro de Educación Inicial “Alfonso Chávez” para vencer sus miedos y al mismo tiempo mejorar su rendimiento académico. El tema del proyecto tiene mucha significancia, ya que los miedos son normales en el ser humano durante su vida; pero si no se logran contrastar a ciertas edades pueden ser un desencadenante de numerosos problemas. Por eso se tomó la iniciativa de llevar a cabo esta investigación, teniendo como objetivo general: Determinar la incidencia de los miedos infantiles y el rendimiento académico, en los niños del Nivel de Inicial 2 paralelo, “C” del Centro de Educación Inicial Lic. “Alfonso Chávez”, parroquia Lizarzaburu, cantón Riobamba, provincia de Chimborazo. Año lectivo 2014-2015; mediante la ejecución de un trabajo de campo, aplicando la encuesta a las docentes, y la ficha de observación a los niños. Como una solución al problema en cuestión se diseñó una guía didáctica con el fin de superar los miedos de los niños de la mencionada institución educativa y contribuir al mejoramiento del rendimiento académico denominada “Superando mis miedos soy feliz”. Los resultados alcanzados permitieron cumplir con los objetivos de la investigación, llegando a la comprobación de la hipótesis de manera positiva ya que las docentes coincidieron en que los miedos inciden significativamente en el rendimiento académico de los niños.
