Summary:ABSTRACT: The present research work is carried out with the main objective of knowing the current reality, about the tourist acceptance of several places considered as alternatives of distraction and relaxation for the population in general, therefore, the development of an analysis of the marketing management, made by the administration of the Papallacta parish and the directors of the different spas located in the Quijos canton, in order to strengthen the tourist development of the locality, is proposed. The methodology used focuses on the fulfillment of the specific objectives of the project, for the theoretical foundation of the topics and subtopics, a bibliographic-documentary type of research was used, based on the criteria of authors of books, magazines and scientific articles, in the collection of data it was necessary the application of methodological instruments such as interviews directed to the president of the Gap Parroquial de Papallacta and the managers of the existing spas in the sector. The results obtained showed that most of the participants agreed that there has not been an adequate marketing management, based on promotion and advertising strategies, which for years has limited the tourism, social and economic development of the population in general. As a conclusion of this research is the need to develop a marketing management model to help strengthen tourism development in the Papallacta parish of the Quijos canton.
