Summary:The present research aims to analyze the relationship between dysfunctional families and the behavior of the students of Eighth year of the Educational Unit "Captain Edmundo Chiriboga", since in adolescents , the loss of contact with their family environment has as a consequence behavior change, for that reason the study is based on the Systemic Current, using the Scientific Method with a type of Descriptive Research, a Documentary Design and a type of Transversal study, through this research it was able to achieve the proposed objectives at the beginning. For the development of the project it was necessary to work on a theoretical review of authors. The psychological reactive (Dysfunctional familiar) was applied, which revealed the existence of dysfunctional families. A questionnaire was conducted for adolescents to know the types of families; a questionnaire aimed at teachers to know the type of behavior of each child. The sample was 30 students; which in the Disconnected Families, in 20% of children who show assertiveness, the Chaotic Families in 80% of children present aggressive behavior, in spite of being this a conflictive family also demonstrated that in 50% there are children who show assertiveness. In the psychosomatic families, 16% of the children present a passive behavior, and in the rebuilt families 50% of children shows an assertive behavior. It is concluded that dysfunctional families specifically chaotic disadvantage the normal development of children.
