Description
Summary:The objective of this research was to develop a reporting module for the Research Management System of the National University of Chimborazo, evaluating its efficiency after integrating Dapper web services and REST APIs, using the indicators of the ISO/IEC 25010 standard. A quantitative methodology was adopted, collecting data using Apache JMeter on temporal behavior, resource utilization, and system capacity. The study methodology was non-experimental, examining the variables in their natural environment, without external interference. The findings indicated that the system compensated 100% of the temporal behavior demands, with response times of up to 15 seconds. Regarding resources, an average CPU utilization of 31.25%, RAM utilization of 63% to 70%, and disk utilization of 6.75% were achieved, allowing for 91.6% compliance. In terms of capacity, the system recorded 0.83 requests per second, meeting 83% of the requirements. To summarize, the addition of Dapper improved the system's performance, meeting the efficiency criteria set by ISO/IEC 25010. The system demonstrated an appropriate balance between speed and efficiency, with no glitches in testing, confirming that Dapper is an effective option for reporting in high-performance environments.
