Within the practicum laboratories, various biological samples and reagents are not usually handled correctly. Then they may cause accidents. Consequently, it is important to have a Biosecurity Handbook to be employed in laboratories E-200 (Clinical Laboratory of Teaching), E-201 (Laboratory of Biochemistry and Pharmacology), E-301 (Laboratory of Chemistry and Forensic Toxicology). It will allow students, teachers and professionals to know how to deal with an accident, including practical learning environment improvement. This project is based on a descriptive, cross-sectional research with a mixed approach. The results obtained were tabulated and analyzed through Excel statistical program and represented in tables. Researchers worked with 295 students, 14 teachers and two professionals in charge of the laboratories al Clinical and Histopathological Laboratory Major. It gives a total of 311 participants. After the analysis, it can be concluded that the students have basic knowledge about biosafety, but any of them, who are responsible for laboratories, do mot fully follow elementary procedures. They confessed to have some shortcomings when working on the laboratories. That is why, a biosafety handbook has been developed in order to guide certain protocols, rules and procedures in laboratories. They will reduce the risk of accidents while practicing in laboratories. Additionally, it encourages the use of protective barriers to guarantee the welfare of students, teachers and community in general.
