Yhteenveto:ABSTRACT: The present research work is a bibliographic compilation of articles based on scientific data such as PubMed, Semantic Scholar, Scielo, PEDro, Cochrane Library, and Elsevier “THE AIM OF THIS REVIEW IS TO ANALIZE THE APPLICATION OF LASER THERAPY IN THE REHABILITATION OF PATIENTS WITH BELL'S PALSY” The selected clinical trials rigorously have tested the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The methodology applied was documentary research , with an inductive method, descriptive analysis , and design and qualitative approach. Bell's Palsy is a mononeuropathy of neurological origin that causes lesions of the facial nerve and in turn, causes loss of the contraction capacity of some muscles of the face. Laser therapy is a technique used in physical therapy that treats patients with Bell's palsy, this therapy had used light energy generated by atomic excitation that emits photons, besides being a painless method, easy to apply, non-invasive, and free of side effects. On the other hand, in the different databases of Ecuador, there is no scientific evidence on the application of laser therapy in patients with Bell's palsy, having lack of knowledge and impediment to start a therapy into practice. According to the analysis and interpretation of clinical trials, the laser applied together with drugs, massage, and facial exercise significantly help to accelerate blood microcirculation, as well as a target muscle reinnervation, which produces normal functionality of the affected hemifacial spasm.
