Тойм:Game and knowledge are two words that in context and well worked produce a converting effect in boy and girl’s lives. This research shows that the development and application of Play I Learn Games guide favors 3-4 year old children cognitive development in “Hualcopo Duchicela" Educational Unit, Columbe Parish, Colta Canton, and Chimborazo Province during 2016-2017. The study population was composed by 35 students between boys and girls. Research data was obtained through an observation card, as an investigative tool, including a didactic guide which consists on dividing activities into three groups such: games to develop memory, games for the visual and auditory memory, and games for developing perception. All of them allowed children’s cognitive development. The application of the gamification guide was considered since there was a lack of gamification employment as a fundamental tool for teaching-learning. Its application took into account pre and post stages. The collective information determined children’s learning progress. Data from charts and graphs were prepared for analysis and interpretation in order to check effective children group. This study was carried out retrospectively with the objective of developing autonomous knowledge. Study focused on two variables: Independent: Gamification which explains the influence, production, and children’s cognitive development changes. The dependent variable was the cognitive development which is the consequence of the independent variable. The type of research that served for this work was descriptive and bibliographic. The methods used were scientific, hypothetical, deductive, which served to detect the problem, to know its causes and effects from particular to general perspectives. The hypotheses were checked with the Chi squared statistical application, later the analysis and interpretation of the obtained results were reached through which the hypotheses were validated. Regarding the design of the research, the method used was non-experimental because there was no manipulation of the variables, the applied instrument consists of 15 items in which the observation technique was applied. At the end of the investigation, it can be concluded that the gamification is one of the best didactic strategies that stimulates and favors the cognitive development of children. After the application of the guide, it is observed that the cognitive level was raised, besides the sense perception was improved remarkably.
