Riassunto:High values of lipids in the blood characterize Dyslipidemia. This metabolic alteration represents an important risk indicator and predisposing factor for a person to develop cardiovascular disease. This research aimed to establish a relationship between Dyslipidemia and body mass index in Faculty of Education Sciences students. The sample consisted of 251 students in their first semesters, a retrospective quantitative-correlational study, which is a product of the research project: "Obesity and Arterial Hypertension, and its Relationship with the Practice of Physical Activity" developed by the Physical Activity, Health and Sport Research Group of the UMBRAL- RAIZ research group. Previously, a Google Forms survey was applied to 251 students, both men and women, to know their weight and height and subsequently to determine the body mass index and their degree of obesity according to each case, using the following formula (BMI = height2/weight). This research uses a retrospective correlational approach, which makes it possible to establish the degree of prevalence of dyslipidemias versus body mass index by tabulating the data obtained and discussing the results in the SPSS program. The results allowed us to work with the variable Dyslipidemia and to find results of weight and height that led to the identification of body mass. They also allowed us to understand the degree of overweight and obesity of the population to later tabulate and discuss results. Finally, through two questions posed in the survey on hypertension and cholesterol, it was corroborated that the presence of lipids in the blood generates Dyslipidemia.
