Izvleček:The research was raised in order to determine the importance of the techniques of learning in movement with the aim of generating social development in children of First-Year of Basic Education at the Educative Unit San Vicente de Paul in the City of Riobamba, Chimborazo province, in the term 2014-2015, this process starts with the frame of reference based on the approach and formulation of the problem, guideline questions, objectives, justification and importance. The theoretical framework refers to the contents related to the independent variable that corresponds to the techniques of learning in movement and the dependent variable that is the social development. Regarding the methodological framework inductive and deductive method begins with the quasi-experimental design, the type of research is descriptive, explanatory, field, bibliographic, the research level is diagnosed and experimental, the population is 38 children in first grade of Basic Education; the applied techniques are the survey and observation and the instrument is the questionnaire and also disclosed the conclusions and recommendations.
