| Sumari: | The following research aimed to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and the learning process in students of the Pedagogy of National and Foreign Languages career at Universidad Nacional de Chimborazo. Considering that emotional intelligence plays an important role in the personal development of an individual and also in interpersonal relationships in such a way that it can be applied in any context and environment. At the same time, the learning process involves a set of activities where people acquire, assimilate, and retain knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values seeking personal and professional transformation and development. The methodology had a quantitative approach, and a non- experimental design, due to its scope it was correlational, due to its objectives, basic, due to the field location, and due to the time, it was transversal. The study population was the students of the Pedagogy of National and Foreign Languages career while the selected sample was the students of the second and eighth semesters of the aforementioned career; The psychometric technique of the Emotional Intelligence Scale: Trait Meta-Mood Scale (TMMS-24) was used with its respective instrument and for the learning process the Survey technique was used with its respective instrument, the questionnaire. To perform the analysis and interpretation of the results, the SPSS program was used. The results allow us to conclude that both women and men have adequate levels of attention, clarity, and emotional repair, in the same way as their learning process. |
