Aggiungi Tag | Riassunto: | A biosafety manual has been designed and implemented in order to reduce biological risks in personnel working in the Nursing area of the Health Center of IESS Industrial Park in the city of Riobamba, province of Chimborazo. Since in this primary level unit of health attention, the work carried out by the personnel of this area implies an exposure to a high biological risk, and an institutional regulation or guideline has not yet been established that can guarantee safe professional practices. The study population was made up of ten individuals, in which there are: a Graduate in Nursing, a nursing assistant and eight paramedics who are developing direct attention activities to patients in the area of nursing, before and after external consultation of General Medicine and Dentistry. The methodology used was the survey, the questionnary type instrument used to obtain the information had twenty items, in which all the components of biological risks and biosecurity standards were considered, applied in their area of work. It was found in the surveys that most of the personnel are aware that health problems in their workspace are caused by the lack of implementation and training on biosafety standards. The research was carried out following the steps of the scientific method, under the modality of applied research, complemented with a bibliographical study, from which it was possible to determine that the level of knowledge about biosafety standards that has the personnel of the area of nursing is scarce inadequate, which leads to a greater predisposition to occupational hazards. In the results of the present investigation it was possible to show that the personnel of the area partially complies with the biosecurity norms, increasing, in this way, potential health affectations within different biological risks. |
