| Summary: | ABSTRACT This research aims to analyze the impact of gender inequality on economic growth in Latin American countries, which includes a set of data from 16 countries during the period 2000-2018. For this purpose, the generalized least squares method is used to estimate the relationship of the gender inequality index, gross domestic product, gross fixed capital formation, and trade openness as control variables. Due to the series approach, an econometric model of error correction vectors (VEC) is estimated where a negative relationship between gender inequality and long-term economic growth is manifested with an adjustment speed of 0.4%. Keywords: gender inequality, economic growth, gender parity. Reviewed by: Mgs. Hugo Romero ENGLISH PROFESSOR c.c. 0603156258 |
