Sumario:This study focuses on the design of textures inspired by the wings of the monarch butterfly (Danaus plexippus) of Ecuador. The research seeks to explore the visual and structural characteristics of the butterfly species, focusing on its shape, form and range of colors, and then transferring these elements to different applications. Through a detailed analysis of the shape, form and colors of the wings, the design is proposed through the Design Thinking methodology in its phases that allow replicating and reinterpreting these natural patterns. In addition, the possibilities of incorporating these textures in various products are evaluated, highlighting the connection between nature and design. This research not only contributes to the field of design but also highlights the richness of the Ecuadorian ecosystem and promotes a sustainable vision of aesthetics inspired by local fauna.
