| সংক্ষিপ্ত: | The objective of the present investigation was directed in determining, Physical activity as a stimulant of self-esteem in people with visual impairment. A qualitative-quantitative study was conducted with a non-experimental design, with a population of 20 participants between 18 and 65 years of age of the Provincial Association of the visually impaired of Chimborazo, through an analysis to compare the correlation between the two study variables: physical activity and self-esteem. For this reason, a validated test “Rosemberg Self-Esteem Scale” and a “Physical Activity Program (Bailotherapy)” were applied in the investigation, with the purpose of obtaining relevant information to determine whether or not there has been influence of physical activity. in the self-esteem of people with visual disabilities. The data collection and analysis was performed using the statistical program IBM-SPSS statistics v22, when analyzing the results obtained we can see that there is an increase in the minimum average between the Pre-test that is 2.25 and the Post-test of 2.80 and the maximum average of the Pre-test is 2.60 and the Post-test is 3.40. Concluding that positive results were obtained not in large numbers but significantly positive at the end of the intervention of the physical activity program (dance therapy), with the improvement of the participants developing feelings of physical and mental, social, self-confidence and an increase in self-esteem that allow them to go out in society and their daily life. |
