Gaia:The aim of this research study is to invite reflection on the current situation of architectural heritage and how it has been impacted by accelerated processes of migration, urbanization and other factors such as abandonment, ignorance or lack of importance given to these types of buildings, in particular due to their location in little known places. Nevertheless, architectural heritage possesses tangible and intangible cultural manifestations of great value. The property that is the object of the research is the parish church of Guasuntos, which is included in the nation's cultural heritage inventory. It is a building with seemingly simple characteristics but which, when studied, reveals great artistic and historical wealth. The study is divided into two fundamental phases: the first phase of diagnosis in which the current state of the building is identified by carrying out the necessary information-gathering on-site and the second phase where, based on the information obtained, a proposal was drawn up for an intervention that will not only focus on the church itself but will also be complemented by the integrated treatment of the urban space that surrounds it. The intention of this rehabilitation proposal is to disseminate the architectural heritage of this small population to contribute to the protection, preservation and conservation of same, and the best way to achieve this is to put architectural heritage into use through integrated projects that favor the appropriation and valuation of the monument.
