סיכום:Introduction. Sarcopenia, characterized by the progressive loss of muscle mass, strength, and functionality, represents an increasing challenge within the population due to its direct impact on mobility, functional independence, and fall risk. In this context, the Otago Exercise Program has emerged as an effective and accessible intervention aimed at improving muscle strength and balance. This study analyzes the application of the Otago Program in patients with sarcopenia by reviewing the scientific evidence regarding its physical and functional benefits. Its progressive and adaptable structure, along with the possibility of implementation both at home and in community settings, makes it a practical tool for the treatment of sarcopenia. Objective. The aim of this research was to describe the effectiveness of the Otago exercises in patients with sarcopenia, contributing with updated evidence on the benefits of this program. Methodology. This research was of a descriptive, retrospective, and documentary nature, based on the search for information in scientific databases such as Medline and Scopus, through a systematic review of randomized controlled trials. These studies were assessed using the Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro) methodological quality scale. Results. The study evidenced the positive effects of the Otago program across the population, as identified through the analysis of scientific articles published between 2020 and 2025, which described the effectiveness of the Otago exercises in patients with sarcopenia. Conclusion. The results analyzed throughout this research indicate that the Otago Exercise Program is effective when applied to individuals with sarcopenia, with a focus on improving functionality.
