Catálogo digital ilustrado de los principales referentes que marcaron tendencia en el Diseño Gráfico

The present research entitled “Illustrated digital catalog of the main referents that set trends in Graphic Design”, had the objective of designing such catalog, highlighting important data of the selected referents, such as date of birth and death, style and technique, relevant works, emphasizing the importance of each one and how crucial it is to know about them for students studying the career, the characters of which are discussed are the following: Paul Rand, Jules Cherét, Peter Behrens, Ludwig Mies van Der Rohe, Wassily Kaninsky, Lazlo Mohhly, Carlos Cruz Diez and Oswaldo Guayasamín. The methodology used to develop the research work was descriptive and bibliographic, based on reliable sources of information, and two data collection instruments were used: The survey directed to the students of the graphic design career, which consists of 7 questions, which was answered digitally by Google Docs, the interview directed to the teachers was the second instrument that consisted of 10 questions, asking the respondents information about the topics, style and form of the catalog, then the results were synthesized and ordered by tables and graphs, along with the analysis and interpretation of each one. Finally, a methodology was developed for the creation of the characters that consisted of points: character profile, appearance and personality, symbolic details, sketching process and digital art, to place them on the selected digital platform and viewers can observe it.
