“El enfoque de género en la valoración del testimonio de la víctima en las contravenciones de violencia contra la mujer

The Organic Law: To Prevent and eradicate violence against women, promulgated in Ecuador in 2018, brought very important changes when it implemented a strong approach to gender violence issues, as well as a special intervention of the gender approach in the prosecution of violence against women or members of the family nucleus. The purpose of this research project is to conduct a study on how the gender approach affects the assessment of the victim's testimony in the prosecution of violence against women, dividing this study into three units, The first one addresses the issue of gender violence, in order to move to a second unit, in which, the gender approach is well analyzed to finally in the third unit determine what assessment is given to the victim's testimony in violence contraventions against women, through the study and analysis of a case and sentence. The gender approach is gaining more and more strength at a social, political, and legal level, since it is intended to enter a new era in which the practices implemented by patriarchy, machismo (sexist) and giving away an equity of gender, in which women have the same opportunity, rights, but without neglecting the rights of men or of the masculine gender, since in understanding that human interaction between men and women lies precisely the gender approach.
