Aggiungi Tag | Riassunto: | The care constituted in a multidimensional necessity of the individual at all times of the life cycle, with the increase of people who have chronic diseases also emerges the figure of the primary caregiver; a person who assumes the role to carry out activities related to direct patient care, being in a highly vulnerable situation with risk of presenting physical and emotional problems. The purpose of the study was to determine the profile of the patient's primary caregiver in hemodialysis treatment. Qualitative research was carried out with pheomenological method executed between November 2019-April 2020. The population consisted of four primary caregivers of different ages, genders, and the author's self-reporting. The technique used was the semi-structured interview and participant observation, which were recorded and later transcribed into the discursive corpus. As a result, we identify high-frequency categories such as changes in dynamics and family economy, emotion, fear, suffering, and physical discomfort. Finally, the representational map allowed the authors to immerse themselves in the depths of the human being. |
