These findings are essential to inform balanced fiscal and economic policies in Ecuador, avoiding excessive tax rates that can hinder investment and development. Consideration of provincial heterogeneity, control for autocorrelation and heteroscedasticity, and the need for ongoing analysis highlight the complexity of this relationship. Ultimately, the results offer valuable guidance for informed decisions and the promotion of equitable and sustainable growth in the country. |

Se emplean modelos econométricos, incluyendo efectos fijos y aleatorios, para analizar cómo los impuestos (ISD, IR, IVA) se relacionan con el crecimiento del Valor Agregado Bruto (VAB) por provincias. Los resultados revelan una relación positiva y estadísticamente significativa entre los impuestos y el crecimiento del VAB, resaltando la importancia de la recaudación tributaria en el impulso de la producción económica local. Se destaca la coherencia y significancia de los coeficientes de impuestos, subrayando su impacto positivo y diferencial en el crecimiento. Estos hallazgos son esenciales para informar políticas fiscales y económicas equilibradas en Ecuador, evitando tasas impositivas excesivas que puedan obstaculizar la inversión y el desarrollo.
