الملخص:The rural parish of Amaguaña, situated in the southeastern part of the Metropolitan District of Quito, holds a rich cultural and historical legacy. However, this heritage remains fragmented and underused, largely due to the lack of adequate infrastructure to support its expression and preservation. In response, this research proposes the architectural design of a proximity-based, multipurpose cultural center aimed at organizing local artistic and cultural activities, strengthening collective identity, and promoting social and economic development within the community. Employing a project-based approach and a mixed qualitative methodology, the study presents a contextually grounded proposal that respects and reflects the parish’s historical, territorial, and symbolic dimensions. The architectural design incorporates principles of inclusivity, flexibility, community participation, and adherence to regulatory frameworks. Finally, the envisioned cultural center aspires to become both a unifying space within the community and a catalyst for territorial revitalization.
