Gaia:ABSTRACT: Mandibular asymmetry is a relatively frequent pathology of diverse etiology which causes a functional and aesthetic alteration. This research aimed to analyze mandibular asymmetry according to Thilander in the Ecuadorian population (Riobamba, 2020-2021). The analysis was carried out using 38 panoramic radiographs and cephalometric paper in which the points were drawn, and the planes were traced for the subsequent diagnosis. The data obtained were statistically analyzed using the SPSS version 27 program. The results showed that if there were mandibular asymmetries. However, statistically significant differences were only presented in relation to the Co-Inc measurements; while the Co-Go (p: 0.763) and Go-Me (p: 0.216) measures did not present statistically significant differences in relation to vertical mandibular asymmetry. It was concluded that most of the x-rays did not present statistically significant values in terms of the presence of mandibular asymmetries. Likewise, it was found that the mandibular branch that presented the greatest asymmetry was the one on the right side and that sex was not a determining or conditioning factor for the presence of this alteration.
