الملخص:The research titled “Misogyny and femininity in the novel Baldomera by Alfredo Pareja Diezcanseco” had the following objective: to identify the representation of women in the novel above through a critique where a legitimate character of the people was identified against a dominant system installed in the historical future of Ecuador. This study adopted a qualitative approach, with a diagnostic-descriptive research type whose technique was documentary análisis. The data collection instrument included the tables of contents where the researcher segmented in the scenes that representing misogynistic acts and femininity. After reviewing various bibliographic sources, the researcher reached. The following conslusions. It was identified that the woman in the novel Baldomera by Alfredo Pareja Diezcanseco was represented as a marginal character, illiterate and with an obsessed with alcohol. Finally, the study concluded that the main characteristics of feminity current in Alfredo Pareja Diezcanseco narrative were rebellion, the use of profane expressions due to main character´s illiteracy, aggressive behavior, and, among his positive characteristics, love, the care and concern for her children and her husband.
